I got PMs about a shaky/noisy behavior of the SFE Razor 9DOF unit running the Kixrazor SW. I was able to reproduce this behavior. In my case the unit showed strange behavior if the 3.3 voltage needed was provided by the AR7212 AND if a GPS receiver was also connected to the Razor. This is NOT a SW problem - it is a HW problem which comes from the voltage sensitivity of analog gyros. It has a simple solution: Connect the Razor only by RX/TX lines and GND - not by 3.3V Vcc. Connect the internal voltage converter with 5 V and make sure that it only makes 3.3 V for the Razor. There is a little switch which must be ON. Now enjoy a nicely operating AHRS unit!
