I've published a beta version of a 900Mhz RFM12B boot loader at my blog page. Your feed back would be appreciated. www.technofun.org

Hi Dave,

very nice project ! Very Happy

I already tinkered with Bluetooth modems and Xbee but not with RFM12B's as a bootloader bridge.
http://www.mcselec.com/index2.php?option=com_forum&Itemid=59&page=viewtopic&p=44673#44673

Would love to see the Bascom-AVR source code (in the Share your working BASCOM-AVR code here section) Very Happy

If people are interested in using this with the other RFM12 bands I will recompile and make those versions available but I don’t have hardware to do any testing in those bands.

I have some Jee Nodes running at 868MHz and could test it (Atmega328P and Xtal = 16MHz).
(I do not have a Jee Link but I would connect a USB-BUB with JeeNode on the PC side)

MAK3 - Thanks for the comments.

The programs are for the 900mhz modules. I will recompile for 868mhz but I can't test.

The reason for not giving the source is that I was thinking of selling a plus version with more bells and whistles for a very low cost. We all have to pay the bills somehow. Wink

Hi MAK3
If you look close at my JeeNode you will see that I added a reset button. That is one way to jump to the boot loader. You can also include a jump to the boot loader in your code, that is how i normally do it. I will post examples in the coming days of how i do that.

Hi

Nice project, but ...
This is the forum "Share your working BASCOM-AVR code here"

I did not find any bascom code. It is fine to create commercial bascom projects/code/libs , but in this forum, you must post bascom code.
So i will move this topic to another location.

No problem Dave.
But when posted in 'share your bascom-avr code' it must contains bascom-avr code, that is the only point.
I understand very good that working on software cost a lot of time and that it is nice to get paid so no problem with that.
