There is lots of stuff on the Web about transmission protocols for this, after all, the whole 'net relies on similar systems.

Some suggestions:

Keep the data packets short compared to the message repeat time, so keep the risk of collision low.
Use a good error checking protocol.
If the transmitters can also receive, listen first, and only send when the channel is clear.
Make some clever timing system in the transmitters to minimise the risk that several start transmitting at once.
