Hello all,
This is a new error for me.
I had a compiled program which was using the mega8 chip.def.
When i cahnged the def file to the mega 16, it compiles ok then says it cant find "ATMEGA48_88_168.PDF" of course i was thinking this is a standard PDF format file. I was just wondering what it means other than the obvious, and why bascom is trying to open a non existant PDF file.
I am using version 1.11.9.3 fully registered version of avr and a fully registered version of 8051(incase it had an issue with the bascoms on one computer)
Thanks |

Hi,
The Bascom IDE has a PDF file viewer. (Last button right).
This viewer is uesed to display the datasheets of the AVR
chips.
To fix your problem, try to go to menu "Tools/PDF update"
and download all the PDF files. The PDF files are the
datasheets of all the AVR chips supported by Bascom.
To do that that from "Tools/PDF update", press first
the button "Check" and then the button "Select All"
and then the button "Download". This will download
all the selected PDF files to the Bascom folder "PDF".
Best regards,
Luciano |

Nothing in or under those menus mentions PDF
I have Compiler version 1.11.9.3

Hi,
Step 1: Open the Bascomm IDE.
Step 2: Go to the menu HELP/ABOUT.
Step 3: Select from the about window the link to the
"App data dir". (A folder will open).
Step 4: Close the Bascom IDE.
Step 5: Delete the bascom-avr.xml file from the App data dir.
(Delete the file from the folder of step 3).
Step 6: Open the Bascom IDE.
If you delete the file bascom-avr.xml you will go back to the
default settings of Bascom. Before you do that write
down your settings. (Menu Options).
If you still don't see the "PDF update" in the menu "Tools"
then right-click the menu bar and select customize from
the pop-up menu.
Best regards,
Luciano |

Thank Luciano, my whole IDE looks better and has a lot more features now.
I wonder if the 8051 is the same |
