|
|
Thanks for the last answer. I am now moving up the scale of frustration.
Situation:
- I have BASCOM Demo Version No: 1.11.9.1
- I have the USB-ISP Programmer as listed at http://www.active-robots.com/products/controllr/active-boards.shtml
- Programmer docs say it works with the BASCOM Software.
- BASCOM Software allows you to select the USB-ISP Programmer when attempting to program.
- I can (apparently. Who knows) install the Programmer drivers when I plug the USB-ISP Programmer into the USB Port. I use the drivers in the USB Folder in the BASCOM Installation.
- I can load the software using the Parallel Interface and Pony. (Different Computer. Pain)
- When I attempt to Program the Chip with the USB interface I get: "Could not identify chip with ID FFFFFF" and "Selected chip and target chip do not match. AT90S1200 does not match ATmega162"
- I have tried all combinations of USB Power, External Power, No Power during the Program phase. Same result (Except the ID No varies. Probably just picking up noise.)
So what am I doing wrong? / Has anyone ever done this successfully? / Does it work with the demo software (I am disinclined to spend 79 Euros to find out but will if I know it does...)
Help..
Best Rgds

Many thanks for the pointer. It looks to me as though I have a dead programmer. When you destroyed yours did you get a refund/replacement or just buy another?
Buying them seems expensive.
Many Thanks |

Bought (spelling???) new ones
My solution: I connect USB programmers only to LPT-testet standard ISP-connectors. |
