hello everyone.
im new to this so i may just be missing something.
i have build a project board using a AT90S2313 running @ 4mhz,
and with a max232.
i have a problem getting my code to run.
the only code it will run is a led "blink.hex" sample i downloaded from another website.
so i know the board works.
but nothing i write and compile works.
i cant get the sample code to work.
i dont understand .
i have followed step by step instructions but cant seem to get it working.
any help would be great.

poorman,
Did you declare a printer ?

what developement tools did you use (STK 200, 300, 500 or other ?)

to blink a led the program is very short, please let us know yours.

Bascom give you a xxx.bin file, that is that kind of file which I use.

Well and know I'll go in vacation for 2 weeks ! Good night ! Very Happy

JP

printer,

go to options
go to programmer
you MUST declare the port of a printer if you use the ISP programmer
parallel port ( see the help about printer)

as you say you programmed the chip with the blink sample and it works I think the programming is OK. If you want to know if your max232 works: pull out the AVR loop the pins RXD/TXD and look if you get back your keys pressed in a terminal programm such as the Terminal in the BASCOM-AVR Environment or Hyperterminal.

Be shure to set up BASCOM-AVR with the correct Chip, Clock and Baudrate, see Otpionmenue for this.
