must control one temperature proces where temperatures going up to 250°C. Is there any temp. sensor that is easy to use (like DS1820)?use 8255 connection CPU and LCD
Why use the old 8255?
Choose a avr with enough free pins and connect it as 4bit or as byte bus.
Bascom avr can handle the lcd directly then without too much problems.
Graphical LCD's are more difficult to handle and I use dommels ILCD
controller for that.
To measure 250°C:
No, there is no dallas component that can measure such high temperature.
A easy approach is for instance PT100 to adc and via spi port to processor for example. PT needs constant low power drive of approx 1ma en best is 4 wire connected.
Thermocouple approach works also but needs cold junction compensation.
Max6675 is great for this approach.
