2313 with pwm, 1wire and WAITMS

Any clues?

I'm running a temperature control loop on an AT90S2313 which:
a)checks a DS1820 temperature, using WAITMS to produce a 0.5s delay between issuing a request-to-convert instruction and reading the result
b)modifies pwm1a accordingly.

The loop is running at the correct rate (an LED flashes as part of the routine), but the 1wire requests are intermittent.

My query then is, do the 1wire routines use the timer at all, causing a conflict with either the WAITMS or pwm1a functions?

Sorry for jumping the gun ...

It's not intermittent at all ... it just appears that way on my expensive Tektronix digital 'scope.

My junk, 1980's analogue 'scope shows it to be regular as a metronome!

HI,

To answer the Q : the 1wire does not use the TIMER.
In general, all statements/functions that use internal hadware(UART, TIMER) mention this in the help.
