Hello all.
The odometer in my car failed, I opened it up, and fixed it (broken plastic lever). In order to repair it, I had to remove the needle of the speedometer. Now the speedometer is out of calibration. It is about 9% low.
Printed on the back of the speedomter is 637rev = 1km. Therefore I assume a signal of 637/3600 = 0.176944Hz = 1km/h and 17.7Hz = 100km/h.
BUT this is not right
about 68Hz = 100km/h & about 40Hz = 60klm/h
Are all speedos calibrated the same? ie Freq1 = klm/h1
Anyone know what freq = what klm/h?
Thanks
Phil

Worked it out.
637rev = 1km & the sensor gives 4 pulses per rev
So, everything was out by a factor of 4.
100klm/h = 70.8Hz
