Should be possible, I did SHA-1 a while ago, which is slightly more secure. MD5 is actually a bit harder IMHO, but not much.

I tried a Kingston 256 Mb SD card with a M64 and AVR-DOS with hardware SPI. Works perfectly.

I used exactly the schematics as on Josef Voegel site. Hardware SPI on a M64 processor.

Look neat, esp the transflective types for sunlight readable. Probably have to ask them whether their idea of SPI is compatible. I didnt see anthing on the data about refresh rates, so maybe its all ...

Dim value as byte
dim value2 as byte

value2 = 7 'or whatever you want

set value.value2 'sets bit 7 of value
reset value.value2 'clears bit 7

It depends whether all the other SPI devices are AVR's as well, or simply other SPI slaves, over which you have no control.
