recently I was struggling with lcd with driver i2c pcf8574. With help from EDC I could run lcd so maybe for others i attach this example:
$regfile = "xm32e5def.dat"
$crystal = 320000 ...

have no idea how I omitted it..

acording to floating point operations - avoid them like plague. No, there is only integer operation in atmegas. The main calculations are made by PC, RPi actually.
