In my datasheet the eeprom is only 2048 bytes.
the inc. file also shows that it is 2048. (800 hex).
from the pdf:
ATxmega64A1-CU 64K + 4K 2 KB 4 KB 32 1.6 - 3.6V
the 2KB is EPROM. (page 2) |

Because the LS bit in i2c is the read/write bit, it can not be used.

first off all, when you use the TWI, the sda and scl pins are fixed to the chip. there is NO need to use config sda/config scl. this is only for soft i2c/twi.
the last bit is indeed the read/write ... |

yes, in fact PDI is the only mode supported for Xmega.
You can also use the stk600 programmer. It also uses PDI mode. |

I suggest an update since tiny25 dat already had this :
TCNT0 =$32
COUNTER0=$32
TIMER0=$32
but you can edit it yourself too. |
