Also, use the latest version.

Because all registers are just registers you can read/write, you can also write to PINx registers. In some AVR chips, by writing to PIN,x you will toggle the PORTx bit !

bascom works on windows 7 32 and 64 bit.
I have tested on these systems.
The only thing you need to take care off is that all sub folders of "Program Files" are write protected.

The BSOD will contain a stop error. you should write this down.
A search at microsoft's KB will show you the cause.
In many cases the driver causing the problem is mentioned too.

Do..loop does not use any stack.
In fact it is converter as :
_do:
rjmp _do 'loop
But it is much more readable to use an empty do ..loop then using goto.

yes, indeed : when you do need input and output you can not use the auto option that will set the CS level.
in such a case you need to manual change the CS. |
