Hi,
you can use every single bit of a byte!
dim x as byte
x.0 = 1 'assign bit values
x.1 = 0
x.2 = 1
.
.
x.7 = 1
you can even name the bits:
const jim = 0
const john = 1
const = ... |

Of corse I opened it before the first use!
But there is no driver or any protective circuit to find (at least for me..), only one intelligent chip, as far as I remember. Maybe thatīs why its s ... |

look at the "#" symbol! #if differes from a normal IF!
In John prog the ISR is defines twice, that is not allowed. And btw. the second definition is ALWAYS executed, check the programm-flow.

I found out, that the MSC USB programmer is sensitive to wrong connections.
Iīve already destroyed a couple of them.....
(I need to eat more pills to stay awake) |

Iīve had problems too.
I found out, that getting the time 2 or 3 times in a for next loop brings a reliable result. Give it a try! |

i do not print buffered!
my "buffer" is the message(n) array:
DIM message(n) as byte
I PRINTBIN byte after byte in a loop.

Is your string DIMed long enough?
DIM test as string * n
n is the length of your string.
When using long strings, you might need to increase the HW-stack.
Do you really need to use strings?

But I experienced no problems with internal osz. 8 MHz and 9600 BAUD when sending only a few bytes. I think frequ. deviation becomes a problem when sending larger amounts of dat ... |

itīs never a good idea to do many things in an ISR.
Try to change your prog in an way like this:
Rs232_isr:
Chrx = Udr
Flag_new_data = 1
return
let the rest be done in your main loop, depend ... |
