I send the one byte data request character once per second. I also wait for a reply from the AVR before sending another one. That should be enough time to clear the 59 bytes out of the buffer. |

I am using buffered serial IO on a MEGA128. I set up the serial ports with 64 character buffers on TX and on RX for both ports. I send the AVR a single character to which it replies with a 59 characte ... |

I thought of doing that but if you need to have an array of the structure then it becomes complicated. For example if you had a structure of name, address and telephone number and wanted to have 100 o ... |

Is there any plan to support data structures (as in C) or records (pascal) in Bascom? Many of our projects would benefit from such structures. Using multiple arrays is cumbersome and inefficient. |

Yes. I tried Olimex. They don't have boards with XRAM, etc. I have one of their boards with the LCD and it is a great tool to prototype apps with! |

I would like to know what differences or limitations exist when porting BASCOM AVR to BASCOM 8051. I am particularly interested in determining how well BASCOM 8051 can support the SILABS processor var ... |

I am looking for a reference on HTML. The RFC is the usual cryptic standards document and most books only have the topics that the author thinks are important. |

If you only need 2 bytes why not do this:
Dim myvariable(256) as word
then access the bytes as:
Num1=high(myvariable(x))
num2=low(myvariable(x))
I would love to see structures but for the ... |

Thanks. I have looked at the help but there are often times when the translation does not quite make sense or there is not a lot of detail.
Most C compilers let you declare a macro which is a block ... |

Thanks.
I have noticed that there are a few situations where there are more than one ways to express the same function in Bascom. I guess that Return and End Sub are one of these situations.
Can ... |

Has there been further news about support for SILABS 8051x processors in BASCOM? The analog capabilities of those parts is awesome. |
