It looks like the parser/compiler gets confused, and treats some of the {034} as delimiter quote marks instead of part of the literal string. Some more tests:

I'm trying to use the {034} trick in string constants to insert quotation marks in AT commands, but the strings are not correctly compiled. For example:

Read the page kimmi linked to - it shows that antilog() is the same as power() or exp(). These functions are both available in Bascom. |

Ah, it's a bug in Bascom version before 2.0.0.0 - Bascom wrongly thinks the tiny48 has a hardware multiplier.

Have you tried using custom characters in 4-bit mode? There should be no problem with this, unless the Bascom library doesn't actually support it. |
