Sorry for the delay, I had to repair an xmega board I had lying around and just got it working.

I copied your code and just made a port change for CS and PD and it all worked regardless ...

it should work as LIN or at least guide you.

Sorry I may have missunderstood, I assumed on a LIN bus you talk to it the same as a UART.
Typically a UART/RS232 won't allow another Node to be connected on the same wire but LIN allows yo ...

Bascom supports LIN/Uart routines, see attiny167.bas sample from the SAMPLES folder.

I am not sure if I missed something in the Datasheet (I use the M32M1 myself)
but the TX output pin y ...

Thats good your up and running now!.

I have used the 180 cm jumper wires without any problems, but the biggest
issues I came across was the quality of USB cables (use a thicker cable) ...

Just briefly looking at the code, I cannot see it used for any registers so remove
the Iram from the Dim

demo4 is screensaver , it don't work correctly with my m128can board
I tested it today using AT90CAN32 (not 128) and the ScreenSaver demo workes fine.
