I can't get a 20 x 4 lcd with SPLC780D1 controller to work.
In the ad it's a HD44780, which is something a standard device for Bascom.

Before trying by error, I would write a short code to count u ...

I think I found a gotcha
You seem to have gotcha'd your own nose Very Happy
But if I include CONFIG EEPROM then it works. I guess I would have thought it would have defaulted to Mapped.

4 lines? Looking up the SPLC780D1's data sheet there aren't any applications with 4 lines described.
Your display isn't by chance one where two of SPLC780D1 cooperate?
One E or E ...

Your code addressing the I2C device seems incomplete.

Usually it goes:
Start
Send R or W address
Restart
Send command or register address to access
Do reads or further writes
Stop

PostForum: BASCOM-AVR   Posted: Fri Dec 03, 2021 1:19 am   Subject: Xmega - ADC with DMA and AC0 trigger
1) setting the timer to zero makes sure that time from start to triggering the ADC is always the same.
2) my idea of having a timer-event or interrupt memorized, which are executed immediately after ...

Overall it seams that the start of the ADC conversion is not always at the same time (AC0 trigger differently or CPU process?)
Do you reset the timer to zero and do you clear pending timer interrupts ...

it may be a bug:
One may assume that, however it's likely the help is not clear enough, it explicitly reads
ar(1)
it does not read
ar(x)
or
ar(n)

Guess any other index than array start is ignored and the count of values to be looked up equals the array size.
Makes sense insofar that no upper array limit is possible either.
Try what happens if ...

If flash is 90% full, an one-to-one copy would use up the same space again, that's 180%.
Not a good idea, don't you think so?

The boot-loader must reside somewhere in flash between &h1C00 and ...

Thought about something like the following, may have errors, have no xtiny-libs.
Calculated 4 channels two times 13 ADC-ticks at 2.5MHz ADC-clock to 52Ás, which results in a PWM repeat rate of 75Hz. ...

Did you check this behavior yourself on real hardware?
If alternative code runs, then one can still check about why this code-mess doesn't.

With a certain understanding to the beginners worries and problems, I would suggest something like that:
1) open trash bin
2) place code in trash bin
3) close trash bin
4) select empty trash bin
