In the code from my last post the Encode statement is within the main loop between Do and Loop.
So there is no interrupt involved any more.

The encoder that is used is a Bourns PEC16.
This is a normal encoder that works the same as the encoder used to expain the working of the encoder statement in the help.

For the correct working of the Encoder statement is it possible to connect the encoder directly to the AtMega or must there some kind of debounce filter be integrated?

Hi,

After reading the posts I realized that I use Time$ and Date$ in the main loop of the program.
That makes my question a little bit stupid I quess.
I changed it and now I do the Time$ en Date ...

After adding a folder named DAT inside the Bascom-AVR folder en copied all the .dat files from the Bascom-AVR folder to the DAT folder the problem is fixed Wink

After updating Bascom 2.0.8.1 to 2.0.8.2 from the SLA i get the message - DAT File:M644def.dat ,not found.
The file is present.
Anybody recognize this problem?

Maybe it is a nice feature that reserved variable names can get an own color like the Keywords, ASM, Registers, Strings.
R0..R31 are not the only variables (there are many) that may not be defined by ...
