Thanks for sharing Ben!

Is this the prototype of the BenPhone 1 ? Smile
The 8 bit mode is great to have.

Straight from a SD-card (SanDisk 512 MB) on the ILI9325 display board, reading and displaying a BMP-picture.
Software written by SIX1 with some tips from the MagicWhiteSmoke and adapted for the ILI9325 by me Cool

The original picture

The picture on the ILI9325-controlled display

Hi Ben,
it was a little Adventure to figure out, how to speed up the bmp displaying.
MWS was helping me doing this in asm.

For 24Bit BMP there is a 4th Byte for each Pixel, as you saw already Smile
The Routine is optimzed for speed diplaying bmp's.

Parts of it i used in my AVI routines. Maybe this is your next implementation? Smile

best Michael

Bought a new batch of displays but with my 'old' code (see above) a lot of stripes while writing.

After checking these displays have the ILI9325D instead of the ILI9325C and the initialisation is a bit different.

In the attachment a adapted ili9325_init routine

Have fun

Code follows...

Here a picture and video of big characters. Used the Bascom-fonts.
With the colorpicker you can pick a nice color combination.
With or without frames for the character elements.
Selecting fore- and background color.

Difficult to 'film' a working display, in real it is very smooth...

Hi All,

I just ordered one of the ILI9325? displays and see this code uses an 8 bit data bus plus several control lines. I was looking to use SPI to control one of these displays and wondered if there was any software examples on doing this? Also, I think there is also an SD card slot and wanted to use the SPI for both and wondered if anyone has done this.

Thanks,

-Glen

Hi glena,

in the German Bascom forum there is an example with ILI9320 and SPI.
(login needed)
http://bascomforum.de/

I guess the initialization of these displays ILI 9320....ILI9325.... are different but most of other things are the same.
