Today, suddenly my 2 computers can't start BASCOM AVR. It's still ok yesterday. Now I run the program but nothing happened. Re-install the program still can not use. How to solve this problem? My OS is windows 7 64-bit.
Thank you!
(BASCOM-AVR version : 2.0.7.7 ) |

- check if windows or your scanner was updated and blocks operation
- make sure there is no trace of a ***** on your pc. some customers try a ***** and buy a full version later, but with re-installs, they use the wrong license file and then bascom will not start.
- when the software ends without any notice it usual is a sign that it finds traces of a *****. but when you changed nothing compared to a day before, it is unlikely.
- you could try an older version to see if it runs
- you could remove/rename the settings file bascavr.xml _________________ Mark |

In Windows7 search engine in right-up corner work for whole disc only in "MyComputer" window. In other folders only viewed folder will be researched.
In MyComputer type in " *.xml " then all of existing XML files will be showed.
Name of file You search for is "bascom-avr.xml" |

Win7 You can always repair without format
Try uninstal Bascom and then use software like CCleaner. On it find ->Registry->Scan and fix problems (eg. broken links to missing files) Report read carefully and with understanding. Then save backup and fix problems. Maybe in report You can see what missing.
Download new copy of installer or use tested early ver.
When installing Bascom disable temporary antivirus engine.
Is a large difference when click on installer right mouse button and choose "Run as administrator" Program installs then directly on C without Windows sandbox like "VirtualStore", "Roaming" etc.
At the end You can run as administrator Bascom too.
Format never->fight to the end
On Google input "Microsoft FixIt" and try free tools for repair some things. Sevenforums.com is good site to Win7 owners
Try use Windows tool "Resolve compatibility issues". |

you can best write to support. i can have a remote look at your PC with teamviewer too.
but start with sending the log file to support. _________________ Mark |
