|
|
Hi
I use AVR DOS and all is fine but the file TIME and DATE when listed on a PC is not correct .
I use it to do GPS data log so I load the TIME$ and date$ and use other time functions so I would think that the
same time and date info would be used when the file is created on the SD Card ?
I might have the syntax wrong
Is there any way to transfer a ( log ) file via " SOFTWARE USB" to a PC - maybe with a app on pc side ? I do not want to take the sd card out and use a card reader - I use a MEGA128
Any ideas ?
Regards
Nico

hello,
you have a dedicated forum for AVR-Dos
and it is a good idea to show the code how you record your data.

Hi
Thanks , will post it there , the data or format is not so important , it is more the system itself that need to save the time and date info with the file name , I do not know the inside workings or how that is done , just need to know what and how I should feed it to get the correct file date& time created info.
Thanks anyway.

With this you can switch the sd card from avr to usb.
Mass storage is not handle by the avr, but with the Maxim chip. Gives very good transfer rate. _________________ www.evertdekker.com Bascom code vault |

Hi
Thanks for the replies.
I will have a look at the usb options , pcb real estate is limited , so thats why I would like the avr to perform this task , speed is not a real issue but then , talk is cheap , they say .
I found my syntax problem with the file date and time , wrong terminator!
