Hello friends
Any idea how to measure FAT% in milk sample using some kind of IR sensor??
for information, wavelength should be in between 1400-1650nm, i have tried with TSL261 sensor(works till 940nm)
Hello
We have built many machines to test the milk, we did a machine to read the fat content of the milk, we use the classic method (Gerber) with special butyrometers and a camera.
but it was 20 years ago and the IR analyzers were not very reliable. the Gerber method was the reference.
yes Gerber method is unique and still its used for reference, but its quite long and bulky process. What i am trying to do is to check absorbance of IR rays at different wavelength, do some math and get result... will it work?
Thanks
